| William Roger Farmer Roger Farmer age 40, formerly of Altus passed away Friday, July 21, 2006 in Baptist St. Anthony Hospice in Amarillo, Texas. He was born July 18, 1966 to George William Farmer and Lois (Richardson) Farmer Messick. Roger attended the Altus Public Schools and graduated at Altus High School in 1984. While in school he was very active in the Altus High School Varsity Choir and participated in the Altus All School Production, The Nutcracker. Roger was also the owner and operator of “Nails by Roger” in Altus for several years before his health declined. A member of Family Worship Center in Altus, Roger enjoyed listening to music, gardening, cooking, playing with his dogs, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his father, George Farmer, he is survived by his mother Lois Messick of Altus; one brother David Farmer and wife Crystal of Altus; two nieces Whitney Farmer and Christina Ramirez of Altus; a special cousin, Penny Leamon of Amarillo, Texas along with many other cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Graveside service for Roger Farmer will be held Monday, July 24,2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Roselawn Cemtery in Mangum with Rev. J.V. Oden and Rev. Jan Ivan Oden officiating. | FORD Holland Clay (H.C.) Ford, age 87 of Granite, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 26, 2006. Mr. Ford was born on June 24, 1918, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Holland Clay Ford, Sr. and Nell Jo (Nix) Ford. Mr. Ford married the love of his life, LaVita Davis, on March 27, 1948 in Granite and spent one day short of fifty-eight wonderful years together. H.C. served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corp as a pilot and spent most of his adult life as an electronic engineer, owning cable systems in Southwest Oklahoma. A member of the Granite First United Methodist Church and the Granite Lions Club, H.C. loved using his ham radio, taking photographs, flying and collecting lamps and cars, but his first love was spending time with his family and friends whom he dearly loved. Preceded in death by his parents, H.C. is survived by his wife, LaVita, of the home; three children, Dr. Holland Ford and wife Dr. Marilyn Maze of Baltimore, Maryland, Mark Ford and wife Barbara of Tulsa and Janet Hogg and husband Dr. John Hogg of College Station, Texas; six grandchildren, Hollie Myers and husband Bill of Owings Mills, Maryland, Linda Freeling and husband Patrick of Philo, California, David Ford of Baltimore, Maryland, Esther Ford of Baltimore, Maryland, Ryan Hogg of New York City, New York and Krista Hogg of Tampa, Florida; five great-grandchildren, William Myers, Elise Myers, Sean Myers, Christian Myers and Cole Freeling; one brother, Joe Manning Ford and wife Sherrie of Lawton along with a host of other relatives and many, many friends. Funeral services for Holland Clay (H.C.) Ford will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Granite First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Montgomery and Rev. C.M. Wilson officiating. | FULLER Ruth Jean Fuller, age 74 of Mangum, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2006. Ruth was born on January 16, 1932 in Alma, Texas to Melvin Furnace and Inez (Callins) Reed. She married Albert Fuller in El Paso, Texas in 1963 and worked most of life as a nurse’s assistant in health care facilities. Ruth enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her three grandchildren whom she dearly loved along with serving the Lord and helping anyone that needed help. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1996; one son, William Stanley Lane and a sister, Bernice Furnace. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Johnetta Lane-Williams of Oklahoma City; three granddaughters, Shlonda Holland, Karen Brown and husband Keith and Brandy Lane, all of Oklahoma City; seven great grandchildren, Ronny Holland, Lane Holland, Brequanderly Holland, Kiara Brown, Tiara Brown, Essence Keith all of Oklahoma City and Amber Terry of Hereford, Texas; one brother, James Reed and wife Peggy of Mangum; three sisters, Daisy Hughes of Ennis, Texas, Earnesten Sanders- Ray of Mangum and Joyce O’neal of Mangum along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. Funeral services for Ruth Jean Fuller will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Mangum Church of Christ with James Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
