Adolfina Mendoza Miranda, 57, of Altus, passed away
Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
       
    Adolfina was born August 29, 1952, in Quetzeria, Michoacan,
Mexico, to Alfonso and Quintina (Picazo) Mendoza.  She grew up
in Mexico and moved to the United States in 1980.  She met and
married Pete Miranda and they were married April 16, 1980.
    Adolfina was a homemaker who loved gardening, sewing, and
cooking.  She also loved to go fishing, but she especially loved
spending time with her grandchildren.  Adolfina was a member of
the Catholic Church.
    Preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Josephina
Mendoza and Emma Nuñez, Adolfina is survived by her husband,
Pete Miranda of Altus; five children, Juan Carlos Mendoza of
Juarez, Mexico, Pete Mendoza Miranda, Jr. of Altus, Yvonny
Mendoza Miranda of Oklahoma City, Adela Mendoza Miranda of
Altus, and Alfonso Mendoza Miranda, also of Altus; three sisters,
Ines Mendoza of Jakima, Washington, Maria Mendoza of Mexico
City, Mexico, and Guillermina Porras of Dinuba, California; four
brothers, Jose Mendoza of Clovis, New Mexico, Marcelino
Mendoza, also of Clovis, Julio Mendoza of Kentucky, and
Alfonso Mendoza of Houston, Texas, and two granddaughters,
Naudia Marie Ramsey and Rianna Sky Ramsey, both of
Oklahoma City.  Many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive
her.


A Vigil and Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at
the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

The funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at
the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Altus with Reverend
Sundar Pudota officiating.  Interment will follow at the Altus City
Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
