Alison LeRee Brown, 48, of Altus, passed away at her home Saturday,
February 27, 2010.
      Alison was born February 20, 1962, to Lloyd D. and Della (Spawn)
Mitchell in Charleston, North Carolina.  She graduated high school in San Jose,
California in 1980.  She met Walter Brown at McClellan Air Force Base in
California and married January 2, 1987, in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.  They moved
their family to Altus in 1996 so that Walter could continue his Civil Service
career at Altus Air Force Base.  Alison loved reading, watching cooking shows,
meeting new people, and attending her girls’ school activities.  Everyone was
family to her and called her “Mom.”  She was a very loving and giving person
who had a heart of gold.  She will be missed by all who knew her.
      Preceded in death by her parents, Alison is survived by her loving husband,
Walter Brown of Altus; two daughters, Ashley Brown and Amanda Brown, both
of Altus; one sister, Jenifer Wilson and husband Robert of California; one
brother, Thomas Mitchell and wife Jan, also of California, and a very special
friend, Sarah McKelvy of Altus.

Memorial Services for Alison Brown will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 6,
2010, at the Martha Road Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Baker officiating.  
Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
