Elizabeth Kay (Ward) Glenn left this world to be with her Heavenly Father on
Tuesday, November 29, 2011, when she died at OU Medical Center.  Her
husband Steve, father Bill, mother Shawn, sister Alicia, and grandmother
Charolette were at her side.

In September of 2004, she met, whom she referred to "the man of her dreams",
Steve Glenn.  In October 2004, they were engaged, and at that point, never left
each other's side.  They were married on May 28, 2005, at the First Baptist
Church in Granite, Oklahoma.  They made their home in Altus, Oklahoma.  
Although there was a fifteen year difference in their age, no two people were
more perfect for each other.  In becoming partners with Steve, she also
welcomed in his two sons from a previous marriage, Landon Louis and Logan
Wayne.  She cared for them and loved them as if they were her own children.  
She never missed a ball game, school play, parent teacher conference, or
anything else they were involved in.  Steve referred to Elizabeth as the perfect
partner, and that he was going to grow old and she would grow older together.  
Their love was reaffirmed throughout each day they were together with a simple
"Love you honey!...Love you babe!"

On August 1, 2006, they welcomed their first son together, Jace Nathan (the
professor), as he is known at this time.  Elizabeth and Steve decided she would
be a homemaker and raise their children at home, and Steve a teacher and coach
at Tipton Public Schools.  On December 28, 2008, they welcomed their second
son, James Anderson (the tornado), as he is known.

Elizabeth suffered from chronic migraines and a seizure disorder that kept
doctors baffled until the day she died.  That didn't keep her from being a great
friend, mother, and wife until the end.  She was always the first person to be
there when anyone was in need.  She never met a stranger and had the ability to
brighten anyone's life.  She truly cared about everyone she had ever met.  She
made their lives better and brighter with her personality and amazing smile.

Elizabeth was always the driving force behind making sure family got together for
holidays, birthdays, and any other reason she felt a gathering was needed.  She
never forgot birthdays of friends or family.  She had an amazing memory for
telephone numbers.  She was a walking, talking phone book, and she loved
keeping in touch with everyone.  She also loved photography and took photos of
family, friends, neighbors, weddings, kids of all ages, landscape, and anything
else she felt was interesting or just caught her eye.  She was a natural at being
able to catch the essence of the moment that others would have missed.

As time goes, she was only on this Earth for a moment, but she will continue to
impact countless people's lives from now on, not only because of her caring and
loving spirit, but through her gift of life through organ and tissue donation.  This
was something she had always wanted to do.

The biggest impact on lives still continues with family and friends.  Her presence
will live on through them from now on.  Her husband and children will honor her
life and the way she lived it for the rest of theirs.  Elizabeth's husband is a better
man, father, friend, and teacher because of her.

The measure of a life can't be judged on time.  It can only be measured by the
quality of the life one lives and the light one's life projects onto others.  With that,
Elizabeth led an amazing and productive life.  She will be missed, but never
forgotten by all.

Preceded in death by her grandfather, Ed Ward, her grandmothers, Edith Ward,
Verneen Ward, and Isabelle Ward, and her father-in-law, Wayne Glenn,
Elizabeth is lovingly survived by her husband, Steve Glenn of the home in Altus;
her parents, Bill and Shawn Ward of Granite; four children, Landon Glenn and
fiancée Lindsey, Logan Glenn, Jace Glenn, and James Glenn, all of Altus; one
sister, Alicia Jones and husband Parker and their son Mark Ryan Jones, all of
Altus; her grandmother, Charolette Clark of Maysville, Oklahoma; her
mother-in-law, Kay Glenn of Altus; brother-in-law, Larry Glenn and daughters
Ivy and Larime of Shawnee, Oklahoma; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other
relatives, and many friends.

Memorial Services for Elizabeth Glenn will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday,
December 6, 2011, at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Pastor Tim Montgomery and
Pastor William Dickey officiating.  The placement of Elizabeth's urn will be at the
Altus City Cemetery following her Memorial Service.  Arrangements are under
the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
