Davis Tyler, brothers, Thomas Farrell Davis, Ted Davis, Ernest Davis, and infant brother, C.W. Davis. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mary Juanita Davis, sister, Mildred Boyles Walton of Little Rock, Arkansas, brothers, Gene Davis of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Douglas Davis and wife Wanda of Conroe, Texas; daughters, Mary Catherine Korinek and husband Chris of Mangum, Mindy Lee Gianettino and husband Chuck Stone of Blair; grandchildren, Crystal M. Huey and Juanita were married November 14, 1954, in Greenville, Mississippi. Huey served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1976, where he served two overseas tours, including Vietnam. He and his family were transferred to Altus Air Force Base in 1968, where upon his retirement in 1976, he and Juanita decided to remain in Jackson County to raise their family. Huey retired from the ODC in 1996 and went to work as a full time husband, Daddy, and PaPa. Huey was raised in a large, loving Christian family with many wonderful values which he carried on to his own family. He was a loving, caring Christian man, and an affectionate husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a very patient man, slow to anger and always put others before self. He never hesitated to stop and help others in need. He loved babies, children, and his dogs and cats. Huey enjoyed brain teasers, football, visiting with friends, and the family's annual "Secret Santa" game played on Christmas day. Sunday afternoon dinners were a favorite time for him when his home would be filled with the chatter and laughter of his family and friends. Huey was an inventor, a deep thinker, and gentle soul. We are better because we knew him. He will be sorely missed. Go Patriots! (Huey's favorite team that he supported with great delight!) The family will receive friends Sunday, January 29, 2012, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Blair with Reverend Randy Mitchell officiating.
