James Michael Goss
| Goss James Michael Goss, 65, of Duke, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman. Mike was born Aug. 4, 1944, in Norwalk, Calif., to J.C. and Oleta (Grey) Goss. He was a truck driver for many years before he retired. Mike was a wonderful father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family. He lived in Oregon for several years before moving to Duke five years ago to be near his family. Mike was a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association. He was a talented artist and loved to draw anything that caught his attention. Mike was a member of the Cowboy Church in Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Oleta Goss; one brother, Donald Lee Goss; and one step-son, Randy Jones. Mike is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Goss of Duke; one son, Rayme Jones of Altus; and a step-son, Ronnie Jones of Altus; two grandchildren, Sunny Linn Goss and Sky Beau Goss, both of Duke; two sisters, Mary Lou Bryson and Janet Nell Goss, both of Eugene, Oregon; one brother, Billy Lee Goss of Arlington, Texas; other members of his family and numerous friends and loved ones. He will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held by the family in Duke at the First Baptist Church at a later time and will be announced in the Duke Booster.
