



| Janette Kay Springs, 65, of Eldorado, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City after a long battle with liver disease. Janette was born June 15, 1944, in Quanah, Texas, to O.E. and Dora (Harkins) Weddle. She married Tim Springs September 8, 1962, in Eldorado, Oklahoma. Janette was a wonderful wife, mother, and Nana. She lived a very fulfilled life and was active in many church activities such as GA Director, Acteens Director, youth leader, and Bible School teacher for many years. Janette went to Falls Creek for over twenty- eight years as the youth leader. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Quanah. Janette was a very active member of the Adult and Junior Oklahoma Simmental Simbrah Association where she was a junior advisor for over ten years. She was known as “Nana” to all her Simmental kids. Janette was a member of All Sports and never missed a basketball game or a livestock show where she supported and encouraged her grandchildren. She was active with the Booster Club and many community activities. Janette also was a substitute teacher at the Eldorado School. Preceded in death by her father, O.E. Weddle in January of 2000 and one nephew, Jimmy T. Benson in April of 2010, Janette is survived by her husband, Tim Springs, of the home near Eldorado; her mother, Dora Weddle; a daughter, Shelley Hurst and Buddy Stoops; a son, Tracy Springs and wife Mae, all of Eldorado; three sisters, Sherry Brownlow and husband Curt of Eldorado, Ann Benson and husband Jim of Porter, Oklahoma, and Terri Keenum and husband Dave of Altus, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kalley Hurst, Savanna Hurst, Corie Funderburg, and Triston Springs, all of Eldorado. Memorial donations may be made in Janette’s name to OMRF, 825 N.E. 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104 or to the Oklahoma Jr. Simmental Association, P.O. Box 1085, Shattuck, OK 73858. The family will receive friends at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Eldorado on Sunday, June 13, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services for Janette Springs will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Quanah, Texas.
