Jerry Bob Spradlin
Jerry Bob Spradlin, 70, of Altus, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the
Midwest City Regional Medical Center.

Jerry was born April 8, 1941, near Prairie Hill, Oklahoma, to Woodrow Wilson
and Opal Iva (Ledbetter) Spradlin.  He never strayed far from home in Jackson
County.  Jerry worked for the City of Altus from 1977 to 1980.  He loved his
family and friends and enjoyed being the most outspoken of any group.  Jerry
enjoyed hunting arrowheads, fishing, and hunting.  If Jerry wasn't in the bushes, he
was in the water.  He loved a good "watering hole" and was the last of a
frontiersman. Jerry enjoyed traveling to the flea market circuits where he could get
a good bargain.  He served his country in the Army and Marine Corp, and then he
served in the National Guard for a short time.  Jerry Bob had a lot of great friends
and friendship never dies.  No one man could fill his boots.

Preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Opal Spradlin, one daughter,
Terry Lynette Spradlin, two sisters, Beverly Ann Darcy and Veda Jo Eiler, Jerry is
survived by his son, Jerry Don Spradlin of Midwest City; two sisters, Bonnie Ford
and Sandra Shaw, both of Altus; one brother, Jimmie Don Spradlin, also of Altus;
four grandchildren, Crista Lynn Purcell, Jesse and Kelly Spradlin, Carey and
Leticia Ingram, all of Oklahoma City, and Kyle Sanderson of Midwest City; three
great-grandchildren, Alexius Marie Ingram, Hailey Nicole Spradlin, and Trystin Lee
Ingram, and the great-grandson Jerry was excited to meet in June of 2012, Jace
Spradlin.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and
many friends who will miss his "Santa Claus" smile.
