| Jeweul Watson Anderson was born December 19, 1914 to Maggie and Felton Watson in Martha, Oklahoma. She was one of eight children, four girls and four boys. She was preceded in death by all her siblings. She married Blake Anderson in 1934 in Sayre, Oklahoma. To this marriage was born two children, Bennie and Linda Gayle. Linda died unexpectedly in November 2010. Jeweul and Blake lived in the Altus area farming and milking cows until the early 60's when they bought and ran the Friendship Store. She enjoyed the Friendship people and made many bologna sandwiches for working men or men just sitting around talking. She loved going to church at Friendship and the love of the Clinton Family and many others. Jeweul made a profession of faith in Jesus at an early age and attended and served in the Friendship Church. In September of 1995, she reluctantly moved to Devine, Texas to live with Bennie and Beulah. She stayed busy there, working the yard, gardening and marking pot holders and cup towels. She enjoyed telling old stories to great-grandkids and making them laugh. In November of 2007 she moved to an assisted living facility in Oklahoma City where Linda took really good care of her until Linda's death. She then moved back to Devine where she lived in the nursing home until her death. "Grandmother" was one of a kind. She could make people laugh without trying. She could make something ugly, beautiful. She spent hours reading her Bible. Her favorite subject was talking about "when Jesus comes" and reminding us "Every eye will see Him". Well Grandmother, He HAS come for you, now enjoy the rewards of your labor. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Altus Centennial Memorial with Rev. Madison Clinton officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
