Karen Hope Moore graduated from this life to the next on
Dec 4th 2011, while at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft.
Worth, Texas.
      Karen was born January 25, 1943, to Samuel Kip and
Jessie Mae (Marsh) Thornton and was raised in Headrick,
Oklahoma. She graduated from Altus High School with the
class of 1961.  Karen married Ronald “Ron” Moore January
11, 1974, in Vernon, Texas.  She and her husband were
business owners in Altus until their retirement. She was
active in Beta Sigma Phi and a Charter member of the Altus
Rainbows Order of the Eastern Star.  She was also a lifetime
member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.   Karen was a
member of Victory Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma.

Karen is survived by her husband, Ronald Moore of Pilot
Point, Texas; three children, Jackie and husband Wilson
deBrito, of Midwest City, Oklahoma,  Brent Moore and
wife Linda of Amarillo, Texas, and Misti Price and husband
David of Pilot Point, Texas; six grandchildren, Heath Moore
and wife Jamie, Jessica Henson, Kenneth Moore, Jacob
Henson, Emily Price, and Marshal Price; great-grandchild
Rayne Henson;  one brother, Kip Thornton and wife Nancy
of Altus; one sister, Cheryl McLean and husband Ronnie,
also of Altus,  and many precious nieces, nephews, other
relatives, and many friends.  She will be missed by all who
knew and loved her.


The family will receive friends at Lowell-Tims Funeral
Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 9.  

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday,
December 10, 2011, at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Reverend
Heath Tucker officiating.   Interment will follow at the
Navajoe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
