Lena Mae Freeman, 92, of Eldorado, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010, at
Plantation Village Nursing Home in Altus.
       Lena was born August 27, 1917, to T.J. and Belle (Conway) Neeley in Eldorado,
Oklahoma.  Lena lived all her life in the Eldorado area and graduated from Midway High
School.  She married Troy Freeman December 24, 1936, in Eldorado.  They had many happy
years together before his death in 1980.
       Lena was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family.  She was a very giving and
thoughtful person who helped others when needed.  Lena taught in the children’s department at
First Baptist Church in Eldorado for over thirty years.  She also served on the food committee for
the church and helped many families through difficult times.
       Preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Belle Neeley, husband, Troy Freeman, and a
granddaughter, Beth Elam, she is survived by her son, Loarn Freeman and wife Elberta of
Eldorado; granddaughter, Linda Davis and husband Don of Moran, Kansas; seven great-
grandchildren, Shannon, Christopher, Kevin, Scott, Heather, Jennifer, and Terrence, and seven
great-great grandchildren.


The family will greet friends Tuesday, February 23, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lowell-Tims
Chapel in Eldorado.

Funeral Services for Lena Freeman will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at
the First Baptist Church in Eldorado with Reverend Pete Wylie officiating.  Interment will follow
at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
