Nadine Walker, 89, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at her residence in Cookeville, Tenn. She
was born in Jackson County in the community of Hess to Joseph and Rosa Bartley.

Mrs. Walker was a telephone operator for 30 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company
in Altus, a lifelong member of the Christadelphian Church, avid gardener and accomplished
quilter.

She married Earl Walker on June 27, 1936.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Trula Hutchinson and Mary McGee; and
a granddaughter, Crystal Ragsdale.

She is the mother of Beverly (Chuck) Galmon and Madi Burton.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Mark (Spring) Galmon and Greg Sorrels; five
great-grandchildren, Grant, Ross and Megan Galmon, Zack Sorrels and Tiffany Fritz.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Graveside services will be
held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hess Cemetery officiated by Dr. Jeff Moore, pastor of the First
Baptist Church of Altus.
