Olive R. Richeson, age 79 of Carlyle, Illinois, entered
into rest on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at her
residence in Carlyle.   
She was born on July 31, 1932, in Eldorado,
Oklahoma, the daughter of Charlie L. and Charlotte R.
(Hankins) Fox.  She completed high school in
Eldorado and attended Cameron University in
Lawton.  Olive married James Melvin Richeson on
July 27, 1951, in Eldorado, and he preceded her in
death on December 11, 1988.  
       Survivors include a daughter – Charla Whisenand
and husband David of Carlyle; four grandchildren –
Leah Ashley Whisenand, Lane David Whisenand,
Luke Charles Whisenand and Lori Jo Whisenand; a
brother – Kenneth L. Fox and wife Beth of Robinson,
Texas; two sisters-in-law – Dorothy Crozier of
Eldorado and Verda Anders of Tulsa, Oklahoma; many
nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Janet Richeson
of Altus, Oklahoma.      
She was preceded in death by her parents – Charlie
and Charlotte Fox; her husband, James Melvin
Richeson, a brother in infancy, Donald Gene Fox, and
brothers-in-law, Polk Crozier and Dennis Anders.  
Olive was a member of the First Baptist Church in
Carlyle.  She worked in banking for 37 years, retiring
in1994 as vice president and auditor at National Bank
of Commerce in Altus, Oklahoma.  While in Altus,
Olive was a member of the First Baptist Church and
was active with the Mary Sunday School Class. Olive
looked forward each week to lunch with the NBC
retired women, referred to as the “Golden Girls!”  She
also served on the school board in Altus.  Olive moved
to Carlyle five years ago to be near her daughter,
Charla and David, and her precious grandchildren. She
enjoyed reading, watching birds, and movies.    
 
Funeral Services for Olive Richeson will be held 2:00
P.M. Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Lowell-Tims
Chapel in Altus with Dr Jeff Moore officiating.  The
family will receive friends at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday
before the service.  Interment will follow at the
Eldorado Cemetery, Eldorado, Oklahoma, under the
direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
