Pansy Lenard

    Pansy (Lue) Lenard, 61, of Altus, went to be with the Lord
on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Jackson County Memorial
Hospital in Altus.
    Lue was born in Purcell, Oklahoma, on October 4, 1948, to
Roy Richmond, Sr. and the late Cassie Mae Harris.  She was
raised in Altus by her mother and stepfather, the late Vernon
Harris.  She attended Lincoln School.  Lue was a member of
the Baptist Faith and visited Macedonia Baptist Church.
    Lue united with her husband, John Lenard, in 1969.  She
was an excellent homemaker and housewife.  Her family was
her pride and joy.  She enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren, whom she loved very much.  She also enjoyed
fishing, gardening, traveling, and socials with her family and
friends.  She was best known for her cooking.  She never
allowed anyone to go hungry.
    Lue went home to join our Heavenly Father her mother,
Cassie Mae Harris, her stepfather, Vernon Harris, her daughter,
Barbara Johnson, two brothers, Clyde Morgan and Roy
Richmond, Jr., one sister, Tracie Plair, and a nephew, Donal
Washington.
    In God’s care, she leaves behind her husband, John Lenard
of Altus; two sons and two daughters, Billy Johnson of Vernon,
Texas, Cornelius Lenard, Lakeisha Patterson, Dometric
Lenard, and a very special person she loved as her own,
LaDeanya French, all of Altus, Oklahoma.
    Also surviving her are five loving sisters, Cassie Graham and
husband Carl Graham of North Carolina, May Vivian Felder
and husband Arthur Felder of Birmingham, Alabama, Virginia
Washington, Daisy Fleming, and Winona Owens, all of Altus;
four loving brothers, Vernon Harris, Jr., Dan Harris, and
Bennie Harris, all of Wichita, Kansas, and A.H. Harris of Altus,
11 grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews,
cousins, and many loved ones and friends.
    Lue’s outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor
made her a friend to everyone.  She had a strong and loving
heart, which was the last to go.  Lue, you will truly be missed.

Funeral Services for Pansy Lue Lenard will be held 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Lowell-Tims Chapel.  Interment
will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
