Michael Antony Wojtowich

    Michael Antony Wojtowich, 37, of Altus, died suddenly in Kent, Ohio on
July 25, 2010.
    Tony was born May 14, 1973, to Kenneth L. Wojtowich and Paula Ray in
Altus, Oklahoma.  He attended Altus schools and then moved to Philipsburg,
Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School in
1991..  He attended the Votech in Pennsylvania and later joined the United
States Navy where he served as a submariner on the USS Alaska.  After being
medically discharged, he attended ITT Technical Institute and graduated
Magna Cum Laude in 2000.  Tony worked at the Intel Corporation in
Hillsboro, Oregon, as a manufacturing technician from 2000 to 2007.  Due to
his own health problems, he returned home to Altus to help his mother take
care of his stepfather before his stepfather’s death on January 31, 2009.
    Tony loved building computers and solving computer problems for friends
and family.  His favorite hobbies were taking care of his Koi pond and
participating in music groups, especially Hip Hop.  He especially loved
watching Extreme Sports athletes and became very good friends with Pierre
Luc Gagnon (PLG).  He was heading to see PLG compete in the Dew Tour in
Portland, Oregon, which he had attended for several years, before his tragic
death.
    He is survived by his mother, Paula Ray-Carter of Altus, Oklahoma; his
father Kenneth Wojtowich and wife Charlene of Osceola, Pennsylvania; one
brother, Ryan Miller of Altus; a cousin, who was like a brother to him, Chris
Ray of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Tammy Miller-Payne of Mangum,
Oklahoma; his grandmother Grace Wojtowich of Houtzdale, Pennsylvania;
one stepsister, Sonia Mease-Blough and husband Mike of Stewartstown,
Pennsylvania; a stepbrother, Bart Mease and wife Nicole of Lehighton,
Pennsylvania; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is also
survived by his very special friends, Dorothy Smith and Missy Moore, both of
Kent, Ohio, and Pierre Luc Gagnon and all the extreme sports athletes
associated with PLG.
    Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Freda Ray
of Altus, John Wojtowich of Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, and his stepfather, Bill
Carter, Jr.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.  He will be
missed by all who knew and loved him.
