Billy Gene Jackson

Billy Jackson  was born March 28, 1932 at Plasterco, Virginia.  He was the son of the late Swanson and Bessie
Jackson.  He died Aug. 27, 2003 in Okla. City, Okla.
Billy married Laverne Chapman Jackson, April 15, 1955 at Vernon, Texas.  Laverne preceded him in death March 1,
1992.
Billy served in the United States Air Force from which he was honorably discharged.  He was a resident of Altus and
Jackson County over 45 years and attended the Altus First Baptist Church.  Billy worked with Allied Moving
Company for many years.

Services for Billy Jackson are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Dr. Jeff
Moore officiating.  Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Etta Mae Jones

Etta Mae Jones, age 96 of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away May 10, 2003 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  
Services are set for 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 12, 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will
follow at the Carter Cemetery.
Etta was born December 4, 1906 at Prairie Hill, Oklahoma to parents John Barton Evans and Eula Byrd Evans.  She
was united in marriage to Lee Chadwick who preceded her in death in 1938.  Etta later remarried to Lester Jones and
they moved the family to Altus in 1952.  In Altus, she started her own Day Care business.  Etta was a charter member
of the Grace United Methodist Church where she took  care of the nursery.  She enjoyed working in the yard and
loved her flowers.
Etta was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three brothers and two sisters.  She is survived by three
sons, Lee “Ted” Chadwick of Altus, Ronnie Chadwick of Davidson, Oklahoma, Larry Jones of Stratford, Oklahoma;
one daughter, Clare Neer of Idaho ; one sister, Nanna Lou Sanders of Sayre, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, twenty
six great grandchildren, eighteen great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jones

Martha Sue Jones was born July 11, 1929 at Friendship, Oklahoma.  She was the daughter of the late William
Herbert and Ida Emily (Deason) Dunsworth.  She died Jan. 13, 2004 in Altus.
Sue was a resident of Altus since 1968.  She was a member of the VFW Auxillary, the First Baptist Church of Altus.  
Her hobbies included, music, crafts, her dogs, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
