| REX KEVIN KENDRIX Rex Kevin Kendrix, age 45, of Martha, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Rex was born March 20, 1959 in Hatch, New Mexico to Scott & Bettye Adams Kendrix. Rex married Brenda Blain January 27, 1995 in Altus, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Rex was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Edward Kendrix. His survivors include his wife Brenda of the home, two sons; Bobby Joe Kendrix of Moore, Oklahoma and Kevin Carl Kendrix of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Bettye Jo Kendrix of Moore, Oklahoma; step-children Kimberley Ethridge and husband Bryan of Altus, Susan Garcia and husband Rudy of Altus, Oklahoma, Necole Stowe of Mangum, Oklahoma; five step-grandchildren Lisa and Michael Stowe of Mangum, Oklahoma, Autumn Ethridge of Altus, Oklahoma and Ryan and Junior Garcia of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother, Ricky Kendrix and wife Terrie of Moore, Oklahoma; one sister, Diane Byrns of Moore, Oklahoma; his grandmother, Mary Adams of Vernon, Texas and one grandson, Austin Nathaniel Kendrix and a host of friends. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Lowell-Tims Chapel with interment at the Altus Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. | MELVIN RAY KNIGHTON Services for Melvin Ray Knighton will be 2:00 pm Friday April 16, 2004, at St. Johns Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Bostic and Rev. Thomas Hanes officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Melvin Ray Knighton was born on January 19, 1979 in Oklahoma City, OK. His parents were Charles and Alberta Knighton of Altus, OK. Melvin attended Altus Public Schools until 9th grade. After which he moved to Amarillo, Tx to attend High School at Boys Ranch High School, Boys Ranch, TX. He played on the starting basketball team during all 3yrs of high school. He graduated in 1997. He then attended West Texas A&M in Canyon, TX. Melvin worked for the State of Texas with the Forrestry Department. He was also a retail clerk for Blockbuster in Amarillo. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alberta Knighton. He is survived by Sarah Forrest and their children, Kendra, Kayla, and Brandon Charles of the home; three sisters, Angel Ford of Spencer, OK, Theresa Calvin of Dallas, TX, and Tameisha Bruner; three brothers, Troy Combs of Oklahoma City, OK, Dewayne Bruner also of Oklahoma City and Anthony Bruner of Germany. Also surviving are his Aunt Ollie Hart and Rosalyn Hall of Altus. |

| Roy Floyd Knox Roy Floyd Knox, 90, of Yukon, formerly of Blair, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, Sept. 13, at the Spanish Cove Retirement Center in Yukon. Roy was born April 4, 1914, in Jackson County, Oklahoma, to Leonard and Lela (Lumpkin) Knox. He graduated from Warren High School and later owned a grocery store in the Warren community. Roy sold the grocery store a few years later and opened Knox Hardware in Blair, which he owned and operated until his retirement. Roy married Naomi Robertson March 14, 1935, in Friendship, Oklahoma, and they had one daughter. He served on the building committee at the First Baptist Church in Blair when the new church was under construction and was a faithful church member. Roy is survived by his wife of 69 years, Naomi Knox, of Yukon, two sisters, Vesta Wilcox of Altus and June Taylor and her husband Dale of Lexington, Nebraska, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Lavelle Knox, and one brother, C.J. Knox. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, September 16, at the First Baptist Church in Blair with Reverend Randy Mitchell officiating.
