Stephan George Naeher

Stephan George Naeher age 90, passed away Friday, April 16, 2004 in Tomball,Texas.
He was born January 16, 1914 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to John Andrew Naeher and Laurie Elvie (Brown)
Naeher.  
On January 18, 1936 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,  Stephan and Pearl
Johnston were united in marriage.  She preceded him in death January 1, 1996.
Stephan worked for HJ Heinz Company as office manager for 42 years,retiring in 1974. Following his retirement
he moved to Altus,Oklahoma.  
Stephan enjoyed golfing, bowling and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Knights of
Columbus and Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
He is survived by three sons, John Naeher and wife Clara of Spring, Texas, Michael Naeher and wife Patsy of  
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Patrick Naeher of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one son-in-law, Jerry Holland of Altus,
Oklahoma, one sister Francis Schultz of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; six grandchildren and ten
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pearl, one daughter Dottie Holland; two brothers Thomas
John Naeher and John Raymond Naeher.
A prayer Vigil and Rosary will be held Thursday evening April 22, 2004  at 7:00 P.M. at Prince of Peace Catholic
Church.
Funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, April 23, 2004 at 12:00 (Noon) at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with
Father Joseph Arledge officiating.  Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.                
NELLIE PORTER NELSON

Nellie Porter Nelson, 94. a long-time resident of Odessa, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 28,
2003 at Seabury Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Graveside services, under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, are set for 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the Altus City
Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00
to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

Nellie was born December 5, 1908 in Altus, OK. She was a homemaker and a member of Wesley
Evangelical Methodist Church in Odessa. She had worked in the nursery at the First United Methodist
Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Newton Porter.

She is survived by her daughter, Janelle Lethgo and her husband, Buster, of Odessa, Texas, a brother,
Raymond Pendergrass of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a granddaughter, Carrye Ann Lethgo of Garland,
Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Viechel Nipp

Viechel Nipp, age 92 passed away August 23rd in Orange, California.  She was born in Blair,
Oklahoma on February 1, 1911 and a resident of Blair and Altus for 79 years.  Graduated from Altus
High School in 1928 and went to work for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired in
1976 after 48 years.
She was married to Otis Nipp.  Those preceding her in death were her husband, parents, Mr. And Mrs.
R.C. Dennis, brother, Jesse Dennis and sister Lorene Markum.
Surviving relatives are sister, Vera “Billie” Sumrow, sister in law, Jean Dennis and many nieces and
nephews in California.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Orange and a former member
of the First Baptist Church in Altus.
Services will be under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.  Viewing hours will be on
Friday Morning from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
