Ada Thompson age 71, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away March 7, 1982 at English Village Nursing Home in Altus.
Ada was born October 12, 1909, in Albony, Oklahoma to C. D. and Dolly (Neal) Mendenhall. She attended school in Olustee, Oklahoma. Ada moved to Altus in 1925 and worked at Surplus City in Altus.
Funeral services for Ada Thompson are scheduled for Tuesday, March 9, 1982, at 2 pm in Tims Chapel of Memories, Altus, officiated by Don Smith. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Ada Thompson is survived by her daughter, Beverly Philips, Knoxville, Tennessee; one son, Jimmy Thompson, Austin, Texas; sisters, robbie Hyde, Altus, Oklahoma; Essie Kincannon, Altus, Oklahoma; Adelle Taylor, San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, R. D. Mendenhall, Elmer, Oklahoma; U. R. Mendenhall, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two grandchildren.
