On September 28, 2010 in Altus, Oklahoma, David and Ester Flores were blessed with the birth of their daughter Adalyn. Adalyn was raised and educated in Hollis, Oklahoma. She was in the sixth grade at Hollis Middle School. Adalyn was full of life and enjoyed singing, dancing, spending time with her cousins, and being outdoors.
Adalyn was very centered in her faith and was baptized at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hollis, Oklahoma. She was a devoted prayer warrior who enjoyed being around her church family. Adalyn loved spending time with her family and her best friend was her little brother, Alonzo.
Receiving Adalyn into heaven were her grandmother, Maria Del Carmen Ponce Perez, her aunt, Gloria Mingura, her uncle, Rudy Martinez, and her uncle, Ruben Martinez, and several extended family members.
Left to honor memory are her parents, David and Ester (Mingura) Flores, siblings, Anahi Flores, Aric Flores, and Alonzo Flores. Her maternal grandparents Jose and Rosa Mingura of Hollis, Oklahoma. Her paternal grandfather Benjamin Flores of Chihuahua, Mexico. Her aunt Rose Mary Mingura and children Amaris, Alejandro, and Angelia Rivera of Lorenzo, Texas. Her aunt Elizabeth Saenz along with her husband Israel Saenz and their daughter Araceli Mingura of Hollis, Oklahoma. Her aunt Marisela Flores along with her husband Rodolfo Ponce de Leon and their children Rodrigo, Kimberly, and Adrianna. Her uncle Edgar Flores and his wife Isy Bustillos and their children Eduardo and Edith Flores. Her uncle Fabian Flores along with his wife Magali Rodriguez and their children Flor, Andrea, and Fabian Jr. Her uncle Aaron Flores and aunt Judith Flores. As well as several extended family and friends.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Adalyn Flores honor be made to the Catholic Charities of Oklahoma for Suicide Prevention or please say a prayer for Adalyn and for the Flores family. Also, if you are able, please request a Mass intention in her honor.
The Flores family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2023 at Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. at Harmon County Funeral Home Chapel, Hollis, Oklahoma. A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, A Christian burial service will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Hollis, Oklahoma.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
