Obituary for Adan Rodriguez
Adan Rodriguez, age 83, a resident of Altus and formerly of Elsa, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Adan was born in Mission, Texas on December 10, 1925 to Jose and Reyes Rodriguez. He was a member of the Catholic Church and worked as a Truck Driver for many years. He loved driving 18 wheelers and he also enjoyed running his fruit stand by the roadside. Adan enjoyed being with his family and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren and he will be missed very much.
Preceded in death by his parents; one son, Adan Rodriguez Jr.; two brothers, Jose Apolinar Rodriguez; Donato Rodriguez; one sister, Juana Rodriguez Amador; one grandson, Joe Adam Rodriguez; and one great grandson, Andrew Cortez; Adan is survived by Victoria Rodriguez; twelve children, Ruben Rodriguez and his wife Audelia of Grand Prairie, Texas; Eva Flores of Tipton; Elena Landa and her husband Felipe of Altus; Estella Gloria of Altus; Miguel Angel Rodriguez and his wife Margarita of Altus; Rosa Lopez of Altus; Mary Mirtala Bautista and her husband Rudy of Muskogee; Rebecca Lucca and her husband David of Sunrise, Florida; Emma Flores of San Antonio, Texas; Yolanda Rodriguez of Altus; Rudy Rodriguez of Edinburg, Texas; Jose Luis Rodriguez of Elsa, Texas; two sisters, Trinidad Garza of Elsa, Texas; Elisia Obregon of San Antonio, Texas; forty two grandchildren; eighty five great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; numerous other relatives in Elsa, Texas and in the South Texas Valley and many friends.
Rosary services for Adan Rodriguez will be at 6:00 pm, Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Lowell-Tims Chapel and the Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Monday, January 26, 2009 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Joseph Sundar Pudota officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family of Adan Rodriguez will receive friends from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
