Obituary for Alda Bea McCarver
Alda Bea McCarver age 70, of Altus passed away October 27, 2003 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services, are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus, are set for 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at the Church of the Nazarene in Altus. The Rev. Gary Bohannan will officiate and interment will follow at the Gould Cemetery.

Alda was born on September 4, 1933 at Gould, Oklahoma to her parents, the Rev. James Miranda and Hattie Oakley Mathis Miranda. She attended area schools and on June 1,1951 was united in marriage to JR McCarver at Hollis. They enjoyed many years of marriage. Alda was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Altus, where she was pianist, taught Sunday School and was a she was a previous member of the Church and Missionary Boards. She was also an employee of the Jackson County Election Board, where she was a Judge at Precinct # 3. Alda enjoyed taking of her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to read and study her Bible and serve her Lord.

She was receded in death by her husband, JR McCarver of Altus and Bruce McCarver and wife, Sharon of Hollis; four brothers, Charles Miranda and wife,
Ann of Conway, Arkansas, Odell Miranda and wife, Ada Lou, of Gould, Ernest Miranda of Altus, Darrell Miranda of Chandler, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Derek McCarver of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Carla McCarver of Hollis and a host of other relatives and friends.
