Amanda Kay Franklin, age 27, of Mangum, passed away, early Friday morning, April 17, 2009, at Mangum Community Hospital.
Amanda was born on May 25, 1981, in Elk City, Oklahoma to Jimmy Rockhold and Pam (Marshall) Rockhold. After living in and attending Butler School for several years, she moved to Mangum where she completed her education at Mangum High School. Amanda was a wonderful mother who loved her three daughters and husband and enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her grandfather, Warren Marshall, she is survived by her husband, Jonathan, of the home; three children, Mariah Renae Franklin, Kaylee Ryanne Franklin and Madison Paige Franklin, of the home; her mother, Pam Banister and husband Jeff of Canadian, Texas; her father, Jimmy Rockhold of Mangum; three sisters, Jamie Solis and Jessica Rockhold of Altus and Ashley Banister of Canadian, Texas; three brothers, Jeremy Rockhold and Cole Banister of Canadian, Texas and Travis Rockhold of Mangum; her grandparents, Delilah Johnson, Janet Rockhold and Jerry Rockhold of Mangum and Arlie Marshall of Butler along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Amanda Franklin will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the Mangum First Baptist Church with Pastor James Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
