ARZOLA


America Arzola Ramirez "Mecca" or "America", age 88 of Altus, died Sunday, May 15, 2016, at English Village Nursing Home.

America Arzola Ramirez was born August 4, 1927 in Panama Canal Zone, Republic of Panama to Andres and Concepcion (Ramirez) Arzola. She had 1 brother (deceased) and 6 sisters, and attended school at the Panama Canal Zone, graduated from High School and pursued a career as a dressmaker.
She was a homemaker most of her life, and love to be with her children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, she was a good cook, and loved getting together with family and listen to music and dance. Family meant a lot to America.
She lived in Panama City, Panama most of her life until March 2005 where she moved to Altus, OK to live with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Alejandro Guerra Arzola, one brother Jose Arzola Ramirez, two sisters: Hermelinda Arzola Ramirez, from Panama City and Catalina (Limbo) Bailey from Rantoul, Illinois

She had four children, three sons and one daughter: Alberto Arosemena Arzola, Alejandro Guerra Arzola (deceased), Jose Antonio Guerra Arzola, and Aleida (Arzola) Burchett, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Four surviving sisters: Dora (Limbo) Justine and Marcos Justine, Minerva Tapia, Ederlinda Carrasco, and Vilma Carrasco, and other member of family such as: grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, Great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins.
Special thanks: We are so grateful; to English Village Nursing Home, JCMH, to friends, and family specially grandchildren: Henry Alexander Cubillos and wife Nairobi Cubillos, Judy Hetzeler (Cubillos) Julian, and husband Gustavo Julian from Oklahoma City and Candice Eileen (Cubillos) and husband Fernando Romero from California, Great-grandchildren Austin Elias Julian, Emily Beth Julian from Oklahoma City, and Marcos Xavier Villagomez from California.

Celebration of Life visitation will be from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, Friday, May 20, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.

Celebration of Life Memorial services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel.
