Obituary for Amy Gatlin
Amy Gatlin passed away Thursday, September 15th, 1994 at the age of 81, after an illness lasting three years. She was born January 19th, 1913 at Red Oak, OK. Her parents were Howell and Josie Huddleston. Mrs. Gatlin was a resident of Jackson County since 1936, having lived in Elmer, Olustee and Altus since 1939. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of God in Altus.
Survivors include: two sons, Truman Purcell of Oklahoma City, OK and George W. Purcell of Vista, CA; a daughter, Eva Irene Eads of Altus, Oklahoma; another sister, Bessie Richardson of Altus; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 1994 at the Church of God, 900 South Park Lane, Altus, OK and will be officiated by Rev. Len Gipson, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gatlin will lie in state at Lowell Tims Funeral Home in Altus, Oklahoma.
