Obituary for Ana Wilson
Ana Wilson, a longtime resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of seventy-six.
Ana was born on July 24, 1949, in Pal-agon, Pavio, Philippines, to Isidro Jagolino and Esperanza Ayoba. She was raised in the Philippines, where she developed a lifelong love for family, faith, and the rich traditions of Filipino culture. She often fondly recalled her mother's cooking, especially her favorite dish, Lumpia, as well as classic meals of fish, rice, and Sinigang.
Ana met the love of her life, James C. Wilson, while he was stationed in the Philippines with the United States Air Force. Introduced through mutual friends, their connection grew into a devoted marriage that would span decades. Together, they lived in several locations during his military service, including Travis Air Force Base, Blytheville Air Force Base, and Clark Air Force Base, before eventually settling in Altus, Oklahoma, where they made their home and raised their family.
Ana was a dedicated and hardworking homemaker who took great pride in being a mother and military spouse, who took care of the homefront so her husband could defend the country. For a time, she worked making seat belts for cars in Arkansas and later at Bar-S Foods, where she was employed as a packager. Outside of her work, she was known for her exceptional cooking. While being known for her amazing Filipino dishes, perfectly prepared Lumpia. She was also known for her American cuisines such as her fried chicken which brought comfort and joy to all who gathered at her table.
She was a woman of great generosity, often giving of herself without hesitation. Strong-willed yet warm-hearted, Ana possessed a natural sense of humor that endeared her to family and friends alike. Her life was defined by her deep devotion to her family, her faith, and her Lord.
A faithful member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Ana lived her life grounded in her Roman Catholic faith, dedicating herself to her church, her family, and her relationship with Jesus Christ.
Ana was preceded in death by her husband, James Cleveland Wilson; her parents; a son, Anthony Edward Wilson; and several siblings.
Survivors include two sons, James Cleveland Wilson, Jr. and Gary G. Wilson; seven grandchildren, Jasmine S. Wilson-Ghee and husband, Tracy K. Ghee, Jr., Juliana D. Wilson, James C. Ghee, Kai Amir, and Kehlani Acker, Liam Cruz, and Shyheim Ray, Jr.; two sisters; and a host of other family members and friends in the Phillipines.
