Obituary for Andy Wallace
Andy Lynn Wallace, 70 years old, born in Lone Wolf, OK, the grandson of Pioneer William Wallace, son of George and Florence Wallace.
Andy is survived by his dear wife of 50 years, Alta Mae; four children, Jeanie Duncan of Altus, Mike Wallace of Blair, OK, Pat Wallace of Blair, OK and Marilyn Wallace of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Kelby and Jason, Lindsey and Jamie, Jill, Denise and Tracy; two daughters-in-law, Sharon Wallace and Rhonda Wallace; son-in-law, Jimmy Duncan. All of Andy's family, including many cousins in Kiowa County loved him dearly, enjoyed his unique sense of humor, his caring, his sharing, his loving and generous spirit.
Andy was one of six children and is survived by a sister Georgan Reitmeier of Houston, brothers, Gerald Wallace of Altus and Glen Wallace of Oklahoma City. Andy attended grade school and the Methodist Church in Springlake, TX, graduated from Olton High School, where he excelled in academics and sports. He attended Texas Tech University and retired as a Civil Engineer at Altus Air Force Base.
Andy's greatest joy was dirt moving equipment among other successful business operations, farming, real estate brokerage, certified appraiser, mobile home parks and rural housing development.
Andy was a giver, always ready to share. He was a people person and loved to visit. Andy was loved by many and was always ready to help others on a 24-hour basis.
Andy was bright and a man of many projects, high energy and a strong work ethic. As Andy goes on to be with the Lord, we will cherish fond memories. In Christ's Love.
