Anna Lou Barnes, age 88, passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas, March 30, 2004.
Anna Lou was born April 19, 1915, to Porter Tarpley and Hallie (Grimes) Tarpley.
Anna Lou married Ohmer Barnes in 1933 in Altus, Oklahoma.
Anna Lou was a dear and loving Grandmother to Larry.
Anna Lou is lovingly survived by one sister, Vaneta Cantrell; one grandson, Larry S. Bryant and wife Patricia; three nephews, Ennis Penland and wife Lisa, Ronald Gray and wife Jean and Dwayne Tarpley; three great-grandchildren, Kelly, Bucky and Jessica and several great nieces and nephews.
Anna Lou is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ohmer, one son, Donald Barnes, two sisters, Gladys Gray and Eva Mae Penland and one brother, Burton Tarpley.
Anna Lou will be deeply missed by Larry and his family.
Graveside services will be held at the Altus City Cemetery on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Jeff Moore of the First Baptist Church officiating, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
