Obituary for Anne Woodman
Anne (Hufstedler) Woodman, born in El Paso, Texas on October 1, 1942, passed into glory January 1, 2019 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation with the family will be on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 202 Butternut Street, in Abilene. Graveside services will be at Gould Cemetery, Gould, Oklahoma at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5th, 2019.
Anne lived in Las Cruses, New Mexico until 1960, when she married Jimmy Woodman on June 11, 1960. They lived in El Paso, Carrolton, then Abilene, since 1973. After receiving her degree from McMurry College, Anne raised three daughters, then worked as a substitute teacher for AISD, and then became a Realtor in the mid 1980’s. She and Jim attended Aldersgate Methodist and First Methodist churches in Abilene.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Loye Hufstedler, and her only sibling Kay Bjorgum. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jim and three daughters, Tracy Woodman, Dana Wooten, and Crista Schronk. She is also survived by her sons-in-law RJ Wooten and Mike Schronk, six grandchildren Garrison, Cameron and Hannah, Kennedy, Chloe Schronk, Cooper and Brynn Wooten. Anne also has one great grandchild, Eizley Rose' Anne Schronk.
Anne's precious spirit will surely be missed by all, but now her mind is whole, and her body is strong in Heaven.
