Anthony Scott Richards 53 of Eldorado, Oklahoma passed away on December 12, 2016 at his residence in Eldorado. Anthony was born December 20, 1962 in Houston, TX to Mary and Troy Richards and grandson of Cecil and Gertrude Brownlow.
He grew up in the town of Eldorado along with his five siblings; he enjoyed playing baseball for the Eldorado Panthers and delivering the Altus Times paper during his time in school. Upon graduating he moved to Okmulgee, OK to pursue his education in commercial art using his God given talent as an artist. After obtaining his degree he moved to Granite, OK to work for Willis Monuments for a couple years. Afterwards he returned to Eldorado to help his grandfather with the local cable company and resumed delivering the Altus Times.
In the late nineties he began working at A-1 Altus Athletics while continuing to delivering the Altus Times, that job that he enjoyed so much came to an end after approximately 14 years when the company was sold and phased out his screen printing position. Anthony continued to deliver the Altus Times in the Altus area; he enjoyed it up until God called him home.
Proceeded in death by his parents Mary and Troy Richards, grandparents Cecil and Gertrude Brownlow, Aunt Sue and two cousins Pam Potter and Scott Thomas. He is survived by two brothers Owen Richards and wife Shelia of Blair OK, Damon Richards and wife Virginia of Oregon, three sisters Michelle Cardoza and husband Doug of Tulare CA, Melissa Brandon and husband Bobby of Erick OK, and Stephanie Cearley of Dalhart TX, Uncle Bob of Florida and two cousins and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Anthony was an incredibly talented artist and beloved uncle and brother, who always had a kind word. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.
