Antonio V. "Scooby" Maldonado, Jr., age 45 of Altus, passed away early Thursday morning, February 16, 2017 after a motor vehicle accident near Indiahoma, Oklahoma.
Antonio was born in Altus on March 23, 1971 to his parents Antonio V. Maldonado, Sr. and Gloria S. (Soloman) Maldonado. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and lived in Martha, attended school in Blair, and primarily resided in Altus most of his life. Antonio worked for the Wilmes Super Store in Altus in the Detail Shop and he always enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends. He also was good with wood working and he enjoyed going to the casino.
Preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother; two cousins, Danny and Freddy Maldonado; Antonio is survived by his father, Antonio V. Maldonado, Sr.; his girlfriend Patricia Mancha of Altus; two sons, Jonathan Lee King Maldonado of Martha; and Antonio Emmanuel Copeland of Lawton; one daughter, Roiquesia Copeland of Lawton; one brother, Billy Joe Maldonado and wife Joy of Altus; three sisters, Rachel Maldonado of Altus; Lina Maldonado and husband Eloy Molina, Jr. of Altus; and Erica Kate Maldonado of Altus; two grandchildren, Jaycee and LeeAnn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
The family will receive friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 20, 2017 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Crematory
