Arvil Leon Sherman
Leon Sherman, 77, of Altus died Friday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been scheduled for 3:30 P. M. Monday, November 8th, 1993 at the Lowell Tims Chapel with Rev. Richard McDole and Rev. Bob Maxey officiating. Interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Sherman was born November 21, 1915 in Collinsville, Texas to Pearl Lee and Luther Ben Sherman. He married Helen Pauline McDoniel December 24, 1937 in Warren, Oklahoma. He is retired after 26 years from the Arkla Gas Company. He was presently employed by the Altus Public School System.
Leon is survived by three children: Paul L. Sherman and Wife Linda of Chesterfield, Missouri , Benny L. Sherman and Wife Nita of Decater, Georgia and Randy L. Sherman and Wife Judy of Altus, Oklahoma. Six Grandchildren, Matthew P. (Angela C.), Elizabeth R., Jonathan B., Jennifer N, Carol L., Starlette D. Sherman and one brother-in-law, Johnny Burrows of Altus, Oklahoma.
Leon is preceded in death by his Parents and his Wife, Helen Pauline Sherman.
