Audean Brown, 78 of Hollis, Oklahoma and formerly of Vinson, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis.
Audean was born in Greer County, Oklahoma on March 12, 1940 to her parents John H. Grubbs and Estelle (Wilson) Grubbs. She grew up in Vinson, Oklahoma and graduated from Vinson High School. Shortly after high school Audean married Bobby C. Brown on June 1, 1958 and they enjoyed over 50 years of marriage together until Bobby’s death in 2009. Audean and Bobby lived in the Vinson community for several years until they moved to Hollis where they resided for many years. Audean worked as a cook for the Westview Boys Home and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby; one brother, Sam Grubbs; and one sister, Balma Brignon. Audean is survived by two children, B.J. Brown and wife Mandi of Hollis; and Kandy Caswell and husband Tom of Hollis; her sister Shirley Buchanan and husband Bill of Mangum; grandchildren, Hunter Caswell, Jantz Caswell, Blakley Caswell, Mattie Brown, and Jaden Brown; one great granddaughter, Bella Caswell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Memorial Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening, October 23, 2018 at the Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.
