Obituary for Barbara Ann Hunter
Barbara Ann Hunter, 58, passed away on June 28, 2021, in Hobart, Oklahoma. Barbara was born on October 26th, 1962, to her parents, Pershon Davis and Mae Lois Hunter. Barbara grew up in Mangum, OK, and attended Mangum Public Schools, where she graduated from. She later relocated to Oklahoma City, OK, where she worked as a nurse. She worked in numerous nursing centers and private homes. Barbara was dedicated to helping others. She retired from her career two years ago. Barbara spent her life dedicating herself to her family, friends, patients, and to Jesus. She was a member of the Church of Christ and did much volunteer work at the Jesus House, The Mission, andf the Lottie House. Barbara’s hobbies included cooking, playing cards and dominoes, and spending time with her family.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tonisha Hunter; her brother, Frank Skinner; her sister, Wanda Perry; her granddaughter, Aniya Perry; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and grandparents.
Barbara is survived by eleven children. Five sons: Robert Hunter, Tyrone Nelson, Todd Hunter, Anthony Nelson, and Timothy Lane; Six daughters, Stephanie Hunter, Tiffany Nelson, Ebony Hunter, Jessica Perry, Leslie Elliot, and Jasmine Hunter; Three brothers, Charles Haley Jr., John Skinner and Gary Joe Franklin; Two sisters, Jean Johnson and Gardaro Robinson; Nine grandchildren, Dominique Hunter, Alisa Hunter, Jonathan Hunter, Tomari Hunter, Shawnie Hunter, JaMaya Hunter, Terrior Hunter, Ta Ta Hunter, and JaLazia Hunter. Barbara loved many and was loved by many and will be greatly missed
