Obituary for Barbara Goodin
Services for Barbara Ann Goodin have bee scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 27, 2001 at the First Baptist Church in Eldorado. Interment will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Barbara was born February 27, 1943 in Quanah, Texas to Malcom Everett and Cynthia Vera (Childs) Burrell. She passed away Monday, June 25, 2001 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma after a brief struggle with cancer.
Barbara graduated from Quanah High School and received her AS degree from Western Oklahoma State College in 2000 where she was a member of Phi
Theta Kappa. On December 3, 1963, she and Jimmie Goodin were united in marriage. Barbara owned and operated Barbara's bunch Day Care and was bookkeeper of the Eldorado Ambulance Service. She was dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Eldorado where she served in many capacities including teaching GA's, vacation Bible School, and Sunday School, was Director of the nursery and served on various committees.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two uncles and three aunts.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie of the home in Eldorado; two daughters and their families, Cynthia and Larry Black, Alyssa and Madison of Quanah, Texas and Fonette and Rick Hedrick, trey and Jordan of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; one brother, Charlie Burrell and his wife Rita of Conway, Arkansas; and by four aunts, Mildred Morris and Billie Burrell, both of Chillicothe, Texas, Marion White and husband Jack and Geneava Parnell and husband Tom, all of Wichita Falls, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorials can be made in Barbara Goodin's name to the First Baptist Church of Eldorado.
