Beatrice Estraca, age 92 of Altus and formerly of Robstown, Texas passed away early Monday, September 12, 2016 at the English Village Manor in Altus.
Beatrice was born in Gonzales, Texas on September 25, 1923 to her parents, Manuel Pe"a and Natividad (Cisneros) Pe"a. She grew up in the Nixon, Texas area and on July 4, 1941 Beatrice married the love of her life Roberto Estraca in Kingsville, Texas and they enjoyed over 5o years of marriage together before Roberto"s death in 1991. Beatrice and Roberto primarily resided in Robstown, Texas for many years until they moved to Altus where they had resided since 1978. Beatrice took great care of her family and she always enjoyed catching up with her family on the phone and she also enjoyed embroidery, but most of all Beatrice treasured the time spend with her family and her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband Roberto; her son, Joe Estraca; three brothers, Santos, Lauriano, and Isaiahs Pe"a; two sisters, Pilar Rodriguez; and Aida Molina; Beatrice is survived by two sons, Robert Estraca and wife Natalia of Huntsville, Texas; and Manuel Estraca and wife Alta Grace of Altus; five daughters, Angie Torrez and husband Steve of Martha, Oklahoma; Andrea Ramirez and husband Trinidad of Robstown, Texas; Louisa Cunningham and husband Dale of Tipton, Oklahoma; Margaret Cardenas and husband Ramiro of Martha, Oklahoma; and Bea Linares and husband Jorge of Altus; one sister, Irma Romeo of Arizona; her daughter-in-law, Diana Estraca; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; her very special friend, Carolina Langford; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
The family of Beatrice Estraca would like to give a special thank you to Jan Winters and all of her amazing crew at the English Village Manor.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus with Brother Carlos Sevilla officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
