Benjamin Craig Tockey, age 56, of Altus, passed away Tuesday evening, December 22, 2015, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 2, 1959, in El Paso, Texas to Melva June (Koop) Tockey and Veloice Dean Tockey.

Being in a military family they were stationed at many military bases. In 1972 Craig"s family moved to Altus and this became his home.
He attended the Altus Public Schools System and later found his career in carpentry.

Craig worked at Altus Air Force Base, West Central Manufacturing and also owned Pool"s Machine Shop for several years. Craig was currently employed with the City of Altus with 31 years of service to the city and citizens of Altus. He was the Supervisor for Building Maintenance and Recreation Department.

On June 30, 1980, in Altus, Oklahoma Craig and Anita Rogers were united in marriage. In this union of marriage they had two beautiful children, Sherri and Baron which was a glow in Craig"s eyes and the love of his life.

Craig is survived by his wife Anita, one daughter Sherri Dirickson and husband Jeff of Altus one son, Baron Tockey of Altus and his precious granddaughter Zoe Dirickson that was the life of her papa. He is also survived by two brothers, Charley Tockey and wife Mia of San Francisco, California, and Dennis Cantu and wife Heather of Abita Springs, Louisiana; two sisters Sandra Baham and husband Ray of Flower Mound, Texas, Cindy Blakely of Los Angeles, California. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and mother-in-law and father-in-law.

Funeral Services for Craig Tockey are scheduled for Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2pm in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Sherrill officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made in memory of Craig to the City of Altus Recreation Department.
