Benton James Benton
Benton James Ward was born February 5, 1914 in Tushka, Oklahoma. He died September 18, 1903 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He married Eunice Ward and she preceded him in death in 1980. He married Lucy Burlison Talbot in 1989 in Olustee, Oklahoma. He was affiliated with the Clinton Ice Company for many years until his retirement. He was a Baptist.
Service are scheduled for 10:00am Tuesday at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Smalts and Rev. Parker officiating. Interment will be at the Hess Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Ward is survived by his wife Lucy Ward of Altus; children, Mrs. Sammie Johnson of Spade, Texas; Mrs. Wyona Davis of Burleson, Texas; Charlie Ward of Springfield, Mo. brothers Carl Ward of Mangum, Oklahoma; John Ward of El Paso, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Cody ward, Marnie Ward, Todd Ward, Bryan Ward, Misty Ward, Dee Dee Bundy, Donna Ann Poeling, Greg Muse, Kevin Davis, Mike Davis, Don Davis; two step-children; Wilma Koester of Torrence, California; Kenneth Talbot of Houston, Texas; four step-grandchildren, Judy Koester, Ted Koester, Monica Kelly and Tommy Talbot.
Mr. Ward is preceded in death by his wife, Eunice ward (10-1-80 one sister; two brothers, son, Don Muse, parents, Robert Lee, and Lura Edna Ward.
