Bernice Austin Estes age 85, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma died February 23, 1967 in Oklahoma City. He was born November 18, 1882 to Ira W. and Mollie (Dicks) Estes in Gasdon, Alabama. He moved to Oklahoma in 1897. He married Jessie C. Herring June 26, 1910. He was retired form the Oklahoma City Parks Department, and member of the Methodist Church. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1945.
Funeral services for Bernice Austin Estes are scheduled for February 25, 1967 in Tims Chapel at 2:30pm, Altus, officiated by Rev. Roy Ward, Rev. Leon Henderson. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Bernice Austin Estes is survived by his wife Jessie of the home in Oklahoma City; one daughter, Aleta Johnson, Oklahoma City; one son Barnett, Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ausie Sawyer, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Van Estes, Altus; Alvey Estes, Altus; Otto Estes; Lubbock, Texas.
