Obituary for Bessie Lucille Ellis
Bessie Lucille Ellis, age 82, passed away on August 10th, 1996 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 14th, 1914 in Elk City, OK. On February 14, 1929, she married Wiley Reginald Ellis in Waurika, OK. She was a was a longtime resident of Altus and Jackson County having resided here since 1929. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Funeral Services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 1996 at Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery.
Bessie was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Wiley R. Ellis, January 14, 1991; a son, Charles A. (Lindy) Ellis, November 30, 1978; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: a daughter, Margene Ellis Squires; two brothers, Fred Graves and Wayne Graves; one sister, Ruth Thomas; two grandchildren, Helenda Mackey and Ben Wiley Ellis; four great-grandchildren, Chambrey, Corby, Katelin Mackey and Bleu Ellis.
