Obituary for Bessie Mae Bilbrey
Mrs. Bessie Mae Bilbrey, age 92, 1325 N. Hudson, Altus, died February 5, 1977 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services have been set for 10:00 A.M., February 7, 1977, in the Tims Chapel of Memories with the Reverend Clyde Sloan officiating. Burial will be in the Victory Cemetery under direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Born March 5th, 1884 in Allgood, Tennessee, she was married to David Bilbrey September 5, 1905 in Tennessee. He preceded her in death in May 1972. She had lived in Altus for 57 years.
Survivors include: two sons, R. E. Bilbrey of Altus and Hugh Bilbrey of Olustee; four daughters, Beulah Stockton of Victory, OK, Kathryn Jackson of Houston, TX, Pauline Neagle of Albuquerque, NM and Lois Williams of Houston, TX; one sister, Lou Ella Boatman of Madison, TN; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: a son, Arkley; two daughters, Lula Mae John and Gladys Adams.
