Classen High School in Oklahoma City in 1963. Sherry was a beautiful and talented woman and won the title of Miss Oklahoma City in 1963. In high school, Sherry was active in competitive speech and drama, winning numerous contests and was one of 5 students in the state of Oklahoma chosen to spend a semester at Northwestern University in Illinois studying speech. She attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma, then earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, on May 16, 1978. Upon graduation, Sherry taught high school English, World History, Business, and Speech and Drama in Jackson and Tillman Counties. She and Roger maintained a home in Norman, Oklahoma, where they resided each year during OU football season to support her beloved Sooners. Sherry attended her last OU/Texas game in October 2011 while battling the cancer that eventually took her life. She enjoyed spending time with Belle, her beloved poodle of 14 years.
