Obituary for Beverly Ann Wefer
Beverly Ann Wefer, longtime resident of Eldorado, Oklahoma, left her earthly home to join the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 at the age of eighty-four.
On December 9th, 1939 in Hardeman County, Texas, Henry Cecil Currey and Ada Mae (Robbins) Currey rejoiced at the birth of their baby girl. Beverly was raised and educated in Eldorado, Oklahoma. On New Year's day 1957 during a small personal ceremony at her grandparent's house, Beverly married the love of her life and other half, Donald Wefer. From their marriage came their children and grandchildren, who Beverly considered her pride and joy. In their 59 years together, Beverly stayed by Donald's side, always referred to him as her love. Beverly took great pride in her home. She always made sure that her family was well cared for and happy. She was a devoted wife that worked hard in assisting her husband with his farming. Donald was there at the pearly gates to greet Beverly as she entered Heaven.
Beverly loved the Lord and his word. She was a proud member of the First United Methodist Church in Eldorado, Oklahoma. Beverly made sure her children and grandchildren knew God and had a relationship with him. She was a loving neighbor and friend. In her free time she loved to spend time with her children. Beverly enjoyed going on shopping trips with them and attending stock shows. She also had a great love for her three loyal companions; two mini pins named Bo and Henry as well as a Boston Terrier named Festus. The four of them went everywhere together, she held so much love for them and had a special place in her heart for them. By far her favorite pastime was being a grandmother. Beverly loved each and every one of her kids and grandkids, she was proud to be called "mom" and "grandma". She supported them through everything and was sure to create everlasting memories.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband Donald Wefer; parents Henry and Ada Mae Currey; sister Tressa Weathers; son-in-law Freddie Solis; sister-in-law Joyce Swearingen; grandchildren Robin K. Bridges and Brandy Kitchen; great-grandchildren Anthony Monatoya; and her three best buddies Bo, Henry, and Festus.
Left to honor her memory include her daughters Donita Solis, Lana Bridges and husband Don, and Kirstie Miller and husband Collins; grandchildren Jeremy Kitchen, Candace Griffith, Michael Bridges, Landon Bridges, Kaylor Bridges, and Don Miller; fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as other loved family members and friends.
