Billie Sue Guysi, age 91, of The Woodlands, Texas, formerly of Altus, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Guysi was born in Altus, Oklahoma, on August 26, 1924, to Roscoe and Denis Holt, where she grew up. Following World War II, she moved with her husband George Guysi, to Oklahoma City where they lived until early in the nineteen eighties. For more than the past ten years, she has lived in the Woodlands, Texas, where she gently passed away.
Billie Sue loved dancing, travel, and laughter. More importantly, she had a great love for animals, particularly her cats and dogs, and was compassionate to those in need whether people or animals. Her warm heartedness and keen sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
Billie Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Denis Holt, her sister Virginia Gordon Thomas, and her beloved husband, George Guysi. She is survived by her son, Holt Guysi and his wife, Mary, her son, Scott Guysi, her neice, Judy Thomas Murray, and her nephews, Steve and Robert Thomas.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015, at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
