Obituary for Billy L. Swann
Billy N. Swann was born December 4th, 1927 at Tipton, Oklahoma. He died January 1, 2005 in Altus, Oklahoma.

He was the son of the late William and Effie (Cody) Swann.

He served in the U.S. Army where he was honorably discharged. He was a construction superintendent at Fort Sill until he retired in 1990.

He married his wife, Betty, October 23, 1998 in Vernon, Texas. He had resided in Altus for the past 6 years. He was amember of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Scottish rites and 32nd degree Mason.

Survivors include; Wife Betty Jo Swann of Altus, Oklahoma; three children
Betty Lou and husband Kenneth Smith Irving, Texas, Calvin and Mary Preston, Richardson, Texas and Don and Dena Swann, Bentonville, Arkansas ; three sisters, Bobbie and Ross Morgan, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Wanda and Billy Walker, Alberquerque, NM, and Barbara and Charles McNutt, Altus, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; 9 nieces and nephews.

Billy Swann was preceded in death by his parents, an older brother, Neal and a younger brother Jackie.

Services for Billy Swann are scheduled for 10:00 am Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery with Military Honors. The family of Billy Swann will greet friends, Monday, January 3, 2005 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. at Lowell-Tims. Funeral Home.
