Billy Roy Hall was born August 28, 1932 in the family farm house seven miles southwest of Eldorado to Roy Dan Hall and Plena Lela (Powell) Hall.

He died October 15, 2015, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was the youngest of five children and attended Midway School until it closed in 1948, then graduated from Eldorado High School in 1951. He was drafted into the Army in 1953 and served two years at which time the Korean conflict ended. He attended college at Southwestern State College, Weatherford, OK and Oklahoma Baptist University Shawnee, OK.

He married Edna Louise Hall on March 28, 1953 and was the father of two children, Michael Dan Hall and Linda Louise Hall Daschle. He served as an aircraft mechanic at Tinker Field for 5 years after his time in the Army, then surrendered to the ministry and served as a Baptist pastor for over 50 years in Kansas and Oklahoma.

He started out pastoring at Enterprise near Eufaula, then First Baptist of Taloga. He then moved to Kansas and served as a church planter starting new churches for 18 years in Western Kansas beginning new Southern Baptist churches with the help of God and SBC Home Mission Board. He started new churches in Scott City, St. Francis and Oakley, KS. While serving in Kansas, he served as Vice President for one term and Secretary Treasurer of Baptist Foundation of Kansas for another term. He also had the honor of offering prayer in the U S Senate in 1996. They moved back to Oklahoma in 1981 and served as house parents at the Baptist Children"s Homes at Oklahoma City, Madill and Marlow for 6 years being foster parent or house parent of over 50 children, mostly teenagers. He then returned to pastoring churches in Southwest Oklahoma until 2009 when his health began to fail. He pastored Letitia Baptist and Northside Baptist in the Lawton area, Emerson and Ahpeatone in the Walters area, Faith Baptist at Hollis, Warren Baptist and Prairie Hill in Jackson County. Billy was a member of First Baptist Church, Altus, OK at the time of his death.

Billy is survived by his wife of the home, his daughter, Linda Hall Daschle and husband, Senator Tom Daschle, their children, Kelly, Nathan and Lindsay; and five grandchildren, all of Washington, D.C., two grandsons of the late Michael Dan Hall, who are John Adrian Hall and Matthew Dan Hall, and one great granddaughter, Madeline Hall, all of Kansas. One sister, Naomi Kinsey of Ft. Worth TX. Also surviving Billy is a foster daughter, Pamela Davis Smith and her family of Oklahoma City, OK, and many nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dan Hall and by his parents, two brothers, Johnnie and Maurice Hall; a sister, Virginia Stroud Henrickson, and a foster son, Charles E. Davis.

Hobbies included playing musical instruments, painting, riding anything that had only two wheels, reading, and a love of anything to do with flying.

Funeral services for Billy Roy Hall will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel in Altus, Oklahoma. Interment will be at 4 p.m., in the Eldorado Cemetery with Paul Brown and Brian Walker officiating. Family visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service at Lowell-Tims.
