Obituary for Blanche Mae Steele
Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Steele, age 81, have been set for 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Altus with Reverend Lonzo Battles officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Steele, wife of a prominent and long time school administrator of the Altus school system, died Sunday afternoon at Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a three month illness. Born June 8th, 1888 in Mississippi, Mrs. Steel came to Oklahoma with her parents at the age of four, they settling in the Mt. View area and later near Lone Wolf.

Survivors include: her husband, A. G. Steele, of the home; one son Aubrey of Pampa, Texas; two brothers, D. J. Nabors of Cordell and J. L. Nabors of Coudchief, OK; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
