Obituary for Bobby Ray Thrush
Wanda Lou McKee, 73, passed away Monday, August 9, 2010, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Lou was born October 19, 1936, in McCamey,Texas, to Marvin and Roxie Ann (Bearden) Roudebush. On April 10, 1955, she married Oliver "Buddy" McKee in Humphreys, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death February 20, 2004.
Lou was a homemaker who took great pride in raising her daughters and being a helpmate to her husband, Buddy. She was a long time member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ and a member of the Garden Club. She loved to teach the two-year-old Sunday School Class and to participate in the Ladies Bible Class on Wednesday nights. Lou loved working in her yard with her flowers, sewing, watching the fish in her pond but especially loved watching the Purple Martins for which she had several bird houses made to attract them. Lou cherished her family and adored the time she could spend with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Buddy; her daughter, Janet Cora; and by several aunts and uncles.
She is lovingly survived by one daughter, Cheryl Jameson of the home in Lincolnton, North Carolina; granddaughter, Melody Perkins, her husband Shane, and son Seth Wiggins, of Lincolnton, North Carolina; granddaughter Kellie Cora and daughter Hailey Ortiez of San Antonio, Texas; grandson, Christopher Deal and wife Robin of Warner Robins, Georgia and their sons, Anthony Deal and Taylor Deal both of Alabama; her brother Jimmy Roudebush and wife Layma and their sons, Travis and Paul, all of Oklahoma City; a niece, Nancy Adams of Enid, Oklahoma; nephew, Mike Adams and wife Sandy of Texas; nephew Timothy Adams and wife Debbie and their children, Sharon, Jennifer, and Timmy, all of Eldorado, Oklahoma; and by other loved cousins and a multitude of cherished friends, including a very special friend, Iola Earlenne Duke of Altus.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home to help with the family expenses.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at the Tamarack Church of Christ in Altus with Bill Osborne officiating. The family will receive guests at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from 7:00-8:00 pm on Monday evening.
