Bonnie Faye Parker, age 68, of Sayre and formerly of Mangum, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 16, 2015, at Hensley Nursing Home, in Sayre.
Bonnie was born in Dallas, Texas on December 24, 1946, to Jesse Marvin and Essie Mae (Pierce) Styles. Growing up in Rockwall, Texas, where she attended school, Bonnie completed her nursing degree and began her career, working the evening shift at Rockwall Nursing Home. In the daytime, she worked at a Rockwall bank. Moving to Grand Prairie, Texas, she began working at Dalworth Nursing Home where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Wayne Parker. They were married in Cooper, Texas on December 5, 1975 and Kenneth preceded her in death on February 26, 2013. They worked together for many years, nursing at several different locations. In 2004, she and Kenneth moved to Mangum where she worked at Grace Living Center until her health began to fail. She lived in Mangum until moving to Sayre to be closer to her daughter.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Corey Glenn Styles; a twin sister, Connie Mae Styles and a granddaughter, Darlene Amber King, she is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Mae Parker of Quinlin, Texas, Lillie DeVinny and husband Chad of Salina, Kansas and Susan Maiorka and husband Joseph of Sayre; one grandson, Cody Parker and wife Larissa of Mangum; one great granddaughter, Cambree LeeAnn Parker along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Bonnie Faye Parker will be at 10 a.m., Friday, December 18, 2015, at the Church of New Beginnings with Pastor Steve Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
