Obituary for Brandi Gobeille
Brandi Raye (Allen) Gobeille was born in Altus, Oklahoma on February 27, 1973 to Roger and Phyllis Allen. Following a lengthy illness she went home to be with the Lord on June 27th, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Brandi was joined in marriage on February 28th 2004 to Jeffrey Wayne Gobeille in Vernon, Texas. To this union was born Delaney Raye, on July 2nd, 2004.
Brandi grew up in Olustee, Oklahoma where she loved to play basketball and softball for her school team. Her parents were teachers in the Olustee School System so she got a way with little though she tried. Brandi was homecoming queen and salutatorian of her graduating class of 1991. She was very proud to be an Olustee Eagle.
She attended SWTC and graduated as a licensed practical nurse in 1996. She worked as an LPN for 15 years mostly as an OB nurse in the Women"s Center at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She loved taking care of mothers and their newborn babies. Brandi always had a smiling face and a kind word or a teasing remark for her patients, anything to ease their pain or make their stay more enjoyable.
Her hobby was photography. At first it was just something she played around with, pictures of the family, especially Laney. But then she began to do it professionally. She especially enjoyed taking wedding photographs and senior pictures.
She loved spending time with her daughter, Laney. They were inseparable. They did everything together, from playing in the park to having "Black and White Movie" night on Fridays. Brandi taught Laney all about music from the 1940"s until the 1980"s.
